- Transmission systems (axles and transmissions) and components mainly for agricultural and earthmoving machinery, as well as a wide range of gears intended for highly differentiated sectors: from automotive to material handling, from agricultural applications to earthmoving.

- Specialized tractors (vineyard and orchard, between 60 and 100 horsepower) aimed at third parties and engineering services aimed at designing innovative ranges of tractors.

We are looking for a Control Engineer to join Carraro R&D department.

As Control Engineer will be responsible for applications related to today Carraro business on off-highway drivelines focusing maximum customer satisfaction and reliability.

Starting from Customer requirements, development will focus on efficiency and productivity to obtain the best solution for the application.

What kind of topics will be addressed?

• Responsible for the project of the electronic aspects;
• Define system requirements;
• Develop software to control the driveline;
• Support HIL/bench test;
• Cooperate with other functions during the definition of the product and development;
• Support at the Customer sites to solve problems;
• Produce technical documentation in line with the process requirements.

Requirements:

Experienced Informatic/Electronic/Electric/Aerospace Engineer with 3-5 years in technical projects within the automotive sector. Skilled in vehicle/driveline control systems, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional team working.

Development of electronic control units from concept phase, definition of requirements, functional and architectural design, HW and SW development, to system release and commissioning through verification and validation. International business trips for vehicle testing and support to supplier in workshops and on tracks.

Knowledge

• Good knowledge of the C/C++ language oriented towards the development of embedded applications;
• Basic knowledge of embedded electronics;
• Knowledge of Eclipse environments, Matworks, Matlab, Simulink;
• Knowledge of CAN communication protocols and tools for CAN networks is appreciated;
• Machine learning;
• V-cycle application;
• Control logics design and implementation;
• Definition of methodologies for functional testing;
• Model and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing;
• Prototype vehicle testing and track management;
• Software and calibration releases;
• Functional Safety according to ISO 26262 or ISO 19014 or ISO 25119;
• Basics of Cyber Security, Integration, Quality, Homologation and Production
• Good knowledge of the English language;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
