A leading engineering company in Agrate Brianza is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee all contractual obligations and ensure compliance. You will manage contract lifecycle, negotiate with clients and suppliers, and ensure all legal and industry standards are met. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in contract management, fluent in English and Italian, and possesses strong knowledge of contract law. Role

The purpose of the Contract Manager role is to ensure effective and compliant management of all contractual obligations, mitigating risks and facilitating smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Review, and support negotiations of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts from initiation to closure.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and terms, identify and mitigate potential risks related to contracts.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with project managers, engineers, finance and other stakeholders to align contract requirements with project goals.
  • Manage contract variations and amendments to accommodate changes in project scope or conditions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all contract-related documents, including correspondence, amendments, and performance reports.
  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance, and compliance for senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters and resolve any disputes or issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure contract compliance and performance standards are met.
  • Implement corrective actions as necessary to address any performance deficiencies.
  • Support change order preparation by ensuring that all changes are supported by the contract terms.
Qualifications
  • University degree or completed apprenticeship with focus on business administration or project management (or a comparable field of study).
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar function.
  • Knowledge of contract law (Fidic, VOB) is mandatory.
  • Fluent English AND Italian.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and ideally SAP S4 / HANA.
  • Motivation and independent working style to push topics independently and persistently and to achieve high quality results.
  • Excellent team spirit and communication skills as well as ability to work under pressure.
