Our Center of Excellence Implementation team is looking for a

Senior Contract Manager

As a Senior Contract Manager, you will be part of the Project Management team handling large-scale projects valued in the hundreds of millions. You will manage the project from a commercial perspective, serving as the main contact and representative on contractual and commercial issues both internally and with external partners.

This role involves:

  • Monitoring projects from a contractual and commercial perspective in collaboration with all involved international SMS companies;
  • Implementing end-to-end contract management, financial management, project cost controlling, risk and claims management, and overseeing contract renewal dates, warranties, insurances, bonds, etc.;
  • Managing and coordinating contractual communication with customers and partners;
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual stipulations in change order and claims management;
  • Developing strategies for Extension-of-Time in accordance with contractual conditions;
  • Supporting claim settlements by proposing strategies and actions in coordination with relevant departments;
  • Participating in commercial and contractual negotiations throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Ensuring proper processing and implementation of contractual contents;
  • Maintaining an overview of the project to ensure commercial success;
  • Operating and updating the Project Risk Management System as per guidelines;
  • Consolidating, analyzing, and preparing monthly contract reports;
  • Reporting monthly project status to the steering committee and management;
  • Coordinating the preparation and management of consortium contracts, including payments, change management, and claims.
You Know

You have completed a degree in economics or a comparable qualification. Additionally, we value:

  • Several years of successful professional experience in a similar industry and environment, ideally with construction site experience;
  • Strong knowledge of commercial project management and international contract law;
  • An interest in contractual topics and a numerical aptitude;
  • Excellent social skills, teamwork, and leadership experience in an international setting;
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills (knowledge of additional languages is a plus);
  • Analytical thinking and a structured, independent working style;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with SAP.
