Job Description Summary
Own the project control activities globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation. Conduct activities to better understand and meet customer expectations, impacting the quality of work for oneself and the team. Execute standard operational and technical tasks typically based on instructions and routines, with flexibility to adapt sequences based on work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Technical Expertise and Solutions Development: Provide technical expertise and develop solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) during the pre-ITO (requisition) process, interfacing with the commercial team. Understand relevant markets and customer value to support bid strategies. Analyze client needs, define and optimize products, scope, schedule, industrial schemes, and costs considering contracts and policies. Document technical specifications and costing for subsequent contract phases, including product customization for specific customer needs.
2. Technical Knowledge Expansion: Broaden knowledge of technical disciplines, especially operating mechanisms for disconnectors, supporting policy and strategy execution. Support roles may require specialized technical knowledge, with ongoing skill development.
3. Understanding of Business Drivers: Use knowledge of business drivers to accomplish tasks. Understand how team activities integrate with others and contribute to broader objectives.
4. Decision-Making and Autonomy: Make decisions within a defined framework, resolve technical issues using judgment, and consult senior team members for complex issues outside established procedures.
5. Leadership and Customer Interaction: May lead junior team members. Develop strong customer relationships and act as the interface between customer and GE. Communicate technical information effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Outside the USA: Basic experience in Engineering/Technology and Customer Application Engineering; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with relevant experience.
• In the USA: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
