We are looking for a Continental Europe PFAS Market Lead (Location - flexible hybrid working).
At a National, European, and Global scale, JACOBS continues to lead the way in developing critical solutions to counter the impact of emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
Working within a team of industry thought, policy, and solutions leaders and specialists throughout the UK and Europe, you will support the continued growth and delivery of a complex portfolio of environmental site characterization and remediation, permitting, and compliance projects across various environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil gas, surface & industrial water, and sediment) to diverse industrial processes and industries, such as Chemical, Pharma, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Electronics, and Consumer Products.
Remit and responsibilities of your role will include :
- The development of our capability footprint, technologies, solutions, and processes across all areas of environmental remediation to manage risks caused by PFAS, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Supporting Business Growth and Project Management teams in winning and delivering complex environmental site characterization and remediation, permitting, and compliance projects across all sectors.
- Driving individual, company, and technical innovation, initiatives, and solutions.
- Collaborating with and supporting multi-functional, highly technical disciplines, experts, and teams such as Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Chemistry, Risk Assessment & Process Engineering, developing solutions aligned with Customer and Industry demands.
- Collating and delivering complex technical information, reports, and interpretations to clients and regulatory stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ensuring all services and solutions meet and exceed Regulatory Requirements, Ethics, Health & Safety, and Quality Control standards in all work areas.
- Engaging continuously with External Industry Networks to promote professional and organizational expertise through presentations, keynote speeches at technical conferences, chairing events, and contributing to articles and position papers.

Here's what you'll need
Qualifications
BS, MS, or PhD degree in geology, hydrogeology, civil / environmental engineering, or related fieldMinimum 15 years of experience in soil / groundwater investigations and remediation, and broader environmental consultancyProven track record in client development and sales, including preparing proposals and leading the delivery of work for PFAS and other emerging contaminantsExperience with various environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil gas, surface & industrial water, sediment) in contaminant fate and transport, risk management, groundwater flow interpretation, and remediation technologiesSolid knowledge of REACH regulations, process, and product stewardship related to PFAS in diverse industrial processes and consumer productsAn understanding of the evolving regulatory frameworks across Europe and different sectorsActive engagement in External Industry Networks and ability to promote professional and organizational expertise through presentations, keynote speeches, chairing events, and contributions to articles and position papersThe ideal candidate will have a good blend of the following skills and knowledge :
Relevant industry experience as a Senior Technical Consultant for emerging contaminants at a national, European, or global levelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in client interactions and relationship development, with the ability to present complex technical information clearlyExperience supporting Project Managers and Sales teams in winning and delivering complex environmental projectsEffective collaboration with multidisciplinary technical teamsHigh standards of Ethics, Inclusion & Diversity, Health & Safety, and Quality ControlAbility to work as part of a team and drive individual initiativesResults-oriented with strong commitment to meeting deadlinesProficiency with MS Office SuiteLanguage skills in English plus Italian or other European languages preferred; additional languages are beneficialLocation : Flexible hybrid work arrangement.
