A leading company in the shipping sector is looking for a GA Accountant to join their team in Genoa, Italy. The successful candidate will ensure accurate accounting records, manage the month-end closing, and liaise with auditors and tax authorities. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, advanced English proficiency, and strong organizational skills.

Location: Genoa

We are seeking an GA Accountant (M/F) to join our team in Genoa, Italy.

Job Description:

Objectives (Main Tasks):

- To ensure the accurate maintenance of general accounting records, supporting both statutory and management accounting under local GAAP and IFRS.

- To manage the month-end closing process and handle day-to-day accounting matters, ensuring timely and precise financial reporting.

- To collaborate effectively with internal and external auditors, liaising with Public and Tax Authorities as needed under the guidance of the Financial Director.

- To oversee the preparation of local Financial Statements

- To manage tax-related matters, including import/export operations, with the support of external tax consultants, ensuring accurate preparation and submission of Tax Returns and Declarations.

Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in English
• Minimum of 5 years experience in same roles in Shipping Company
• Excellent organization & communication skills; internal and external
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Office
• Ability to create and maintain strong relations with colleagues & customers
