The Role (Security)

The VMware by Broadcom (VMW by BC) Professional Services Organization (PSO) is looking for an experienced & motivated Consulting Architect / Sr.Consultant with specialization in Applications & Network Security. PSO influences the success of projects by advising, architecting, designing, and implementing technology solutions that meet business needs and deliver a superior customer experience.

The Consulting Architect / Sr.Consultant is a senior technical role requiring interpersonal skills, complex problem solving, big picture thinking, and solution articulation. You will be responsible for scoping solutions aligned with client visions.

Teamwork and networking among peers and teams are critical. You should be ready to take ownership of initiatives and programs to deliver customer solutions. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical skills, business acumen, and a strong desire to delight customers.

As a trusted customer advocate, you should have a broad understanding of Application & Network Security concepts, industry standards, current challenges, risk trends, and solutions. You will help shape and execute strategies for complex security requirements using VMW by BC products and third-party solutions in homogeneous and heterogeneous environments.

The candidate must have broad knowledge of VMW by BC product stack, how technologies integrate into solutions, and how to secure these solutions to build a secure, zero-trust, micro-segmented platform, including designing and deploying Network Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Threat monitoring, Load balancers, and VMware technologies like vSphere, Distributed Firewall, AVI Load Balancer.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and deploy security solutions.
• Develop security strategies such as Zero Trust for various environments.
• Create delivery roadmaps and lead SMEs to execute them.
• Scope solutions, support design and proposal generation, effort estimation, risk management, and work package drafting.
• Identify and develop use cases into repeatable solutions in the ANS Security domain.
• Contribute to service offerings, content, best practices, and white papers.
• Participate in practice development through thought leadership and industry experience.
• Engage in internal presentations and collaborate on product issues or opportunities.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness within scope.

Pre-Requisites

• Minimum 12+ years in IT Security, with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in delivering large enterprise ANS security projects.
• High-level current knowledge of the BC-VMW product portfolio and ANS Security.
• Recent experience in large, complex security implementations in senior technical roles.
• Experience interacting with C-suite executives on security visions.
• Technical leadership and quality oversight skills, with enterprise networking knowledge and experience with tools like NSX & Cisco.
• Extensive knowledge in information security, risk management, cryptography, authentication, security protocols, and data analytics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
