Overview
Consultant - Rewards and People Advisory. This role is based in Italy and involves collaboration across the EMEA Advisory Team and global colleagues as needed. The Talent Advisory Team partners with clients to develop innovative talent and reward solutions tailored to their business models and cultures, covering total reward strategy, EVP design, future skills, culture alignment, and job architecture and levelling using JobLink. We design all components of reward packages, including base pay, annual incentive plans, sales incentives, and performance management. Our team uses market-leading expertise in benefits, pensions, and market data to deliver comprehensive solutions. We advise on pivotal moments such as carve-outs and M&A, helping clients create, align, and integrate talent and reward processes that support strategic objectives. Clients range from local start-ups to global brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements focused on Job Architecture, Compensation Design, Reward Advisory, and Pay Transparency, delivering tailored solutions that address complex workforce challenges.
- Oversee the design and implementation of job architecture frameworks, ensuring roles are clearly defined, evaluated, and aligned with organisational strategy.
- Develop and implement compensation structures, including base pay, incentive plans, and sales compensation, using market data and analytics to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Advise clients on reward strategy, including total reward, EVP, and pay transparency practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and alignment with business goals.
- Provide expert guidance during organisational transformation events such as M&A and carve-outs, integrating job architecture and compensation design to support new operating models.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency, while leading project teams as required.
- Build and maintain robust internal and external networks to identify opportunities and drive business growth for the Advisory team and the wider Human Capital business.
- Contribute to thought leadership in the areas of job architecture, compensation design, reward advisory, and pay transparency, showcasing Aon's expertise to clients.
- Ensure full compliance with Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and policies.
Required Experience
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing job architecture frameworks, including job evaluation and levelling methodologies.
- Extensive experience in compensation design, including development of base salary structures, incentive plans, and pay-for-performance models.
- Demonstrated track record in reward advisory, including advising on total reward strategy, EVP, and pay transparency initiatives.
- Experience managing complex projects involving job architecture and compensation design, ideally within consulting or advisory environments.
- Strong capability in interpreting and applying market compensation data to support client recommendations.
- Experience supporting organisations through M&A, carve-outs, or other transformation events, with a focus on integrating talent and reward processes.
- Commercial acumen, with a history of business development, client relationship management, and driving revenue growth.
- Advanced analytical skills for data interpretation and integration to support decision-making.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and geographies in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Favourable but not essential: multilingual and fluent in English.
