World Food Programme in Rome seeks a Consultant HR to support Human Capital Management projects and HR operations within an international environment. The role focuses on knowledge management, onboarding, onboarding dashboards, and case management across HR workflows.

The successful candidate will coordinate inputs from stakeholders, guide ateam, and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR information systems and content across WFP platforms.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute to the ‘Human Capital Management’ HRM project, as ‘subject matter expert to support the development of knowledge articles and other support tools together with the project team and HRMOGA team.

Contribute to the improvements of the WD case management; in cooperation with HRMOI team, manage complex user cases, provide support and expertise on ‘Leave, Absence and Time related’ cases and other case types.

Oversee, train and guide HRMOGA colleagues on ‘Leave, Absence and Time related’ cases.

Support with the conceptualization of the document management framework for HR Global Operations.

Manage the work plan, meetings agenda for the internal working group on HR documents management, coordinate inputs from different stakeholders within HR, drive solutions to identified gaps and challenges to achieve consistent approach to document management in HR.

Perform as ‘Content Manager’ for the maintenance of the HR information on WFP newgo for HRMOGA; enhancement of the HR Operations WFPgo web content, information sites, etc, and connection all of these to a more streamlined knowledge platform.

Responsible for continuous development of the content of the HR online ‘Global Onboarding Programme’ embedded in Workday, in collaboration with key functional stakeholders in Global HQ.

Contribute to the review of offboarding tools, e.g. Exit survey questionnaire and Handover to enhance scope and technical solution. Participate in the APP Knowledge Management initiative to strengthen use of HR offboarding tools corporately.

In co-operation with the WD team contribute and developing the Onboarding dashboard and Onboarding journey innovative concepts and content provision.

Act as liaison with TEC on the HR services remaining in WSS, contribute to manage gradual transition to Workday.

Coordinating admin aspects of the Adobe contract with UNOG: regular monitoring of the submitted separation transactions on the Adobe site, analyzing vs communicated to UNOG estimated number, extending the limits, when required; coordination of the invoice payment with HRMOG Business Support Assistant.

Guide and, when necessary, supervise, HRMOGA team members acting as a point of referral and supporting them with analysis of complex cases, problem solving requests rising through the case management in Workday/WSS platform.

Where required, draft or review any HRM Operational communications for different audiences, roles and/or end-users for any enhancement/change in policy/procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:

Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or another relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or training/courses

Experience:

Experience in Human Resources at a professional level, with exposure to HR Operations in the context of international organizations. Experience of managing small teams of staff with related areas of expertise.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Sound theoretical understanding of HR concepts and principles with a broad knowledge of best practices, techniques and processes.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence and adapt communication style to different situations and individuals.
  • Knowledge of common business principles and processes and the ability to quickly assimilate UN/WFP specific processes and systems.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships with human resources counterparts, managers and staff within HQ/regional/country office.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • Ability to establish priorities, and to plan, coordinate and monitor own work plan and those under his/her supervision.
Languages:

International Professional: Fluency (level C) in English language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese.
