RINA in Rozzano, Italy, seeks a Senior Construction Safety Engineer to ensure on-site safety across infrastructure projects within the Civil Engineering Division. You will lead risk assessments, develop safety plans, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include site inspections, corrective actions, safety training verification, PPE oversight, and delivering safety reports to support project execution.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction and Environment or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction safety management.
  • Fluency in Italian required.

RINA is currently recruiting for a Construction Safety Senior Engineer to join its office in Rozzano, Italy within the Civil EngineeringDivision.

Mission

The role is focuses on ensuring the safety of construction operations in the infrastructure environment. (e.g. the construction site’s safety processes and procedures, equipment, workers, ecc...) with the cooperation of Principal Engineer. #LI-MB4

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify, assess and mitigate safety construction risks, ensuring that all projects comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards
  • Ensure that all construction activities comply with the applicable local, state, and / or federal safety regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and unsafe conditions. Develop and drive the implementation corrective actions as needed, to assure compliance with safety and health program requirements; prepare technical reports of inspection findings; and develop corrective actions
  • Assist in the development of project-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statement
  • Conduct through investigations of accidents and near misses, report findings, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence
  • Verify safety training to construction personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as required
  • Verify or develop the emergency response plans for each construction site, ensuring that all personnel are aware of procedures
  • Perform or verify risk assessments for various construction activities and propose control measures to mitigate potential risks.
  • Verify the proper use, maintenance, and availability of safety equipment and personal protective gear
  • Provide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements
  • Be able to team-work and assist engineers or engineering teams on construction sites
  • Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines under the supervision of more experienced engineers
  • Prepare or verify the technical deliverables (technical reports, Health Safety Plan, Safety and Coordination Plan, project performance documentations and engineering drawings, etc.)
  • Prepare progress technical reports
  • Be aware and understand the Quality Policy and ensuring that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction and Environment or Civil Engineering

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, with a proven track record of identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks on construction sites. Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and conducting safety training is required.

Knowledge: Thorough understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards such as OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc. Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and equipment. Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and emergency response procedures is essential.

  • Training in safety construction (120 hours) - CSP/CSE DLgs 81/08 e smi
  • Languages: fluency in Italian language is required

Compensation Data

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria, and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).

The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €45,000 and €55,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies, and overall alignment with the role.

In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.

The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
