The Role

Reporting to the Development Director for UK & Europe (and ultimately to the Managing Director of Global Development), the individual will be responsible for the successful day-to-day site management of selected hospitality projects.

The role involves working within an experienced development team on delivering high-quality designs in exceptional buildings and locations across the UK and Europe.

Main Duties

The Project Manager will lead and coordinate the in-house design team(s), project consultant team(s), contractor(s), and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.

The individual can rely on support from an experienced development team but is expected to be a self-starter, motivated, and capable of working autonomously. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality interior design-led hospitality projects.

  • Requirements

Extensive site and contractor management experience is essential, along with a proven track record of delivering projects from start on-site through quality control, snagging, testing, commissioning, and handover.

  • The scope includes:

Working with the development team to identify risks and opportunities across land, site, design, programme, cashflow, financial matters, professional team, building contracts, statutory approvals, warranties, and insurances.

Coordinating inputs of key stakeholders and producing development programmes with milestone dates.

Attending and leading site progress meetings to ensure smooth project delivery, and documenting actions.

Monitoring contractors' performance under agreements and contracts.

Working with main contractors and suppliers to ensure contractual obligations are met.

Managing consultant teams to ensure deliverables are achieved.

Managing project cashflows, invoicing, and payments with support from the Cost Consultant.

Tracking project costs against budgets, reporting variances monthly, and preparing dashboard reports for management and board review.

Leading value engineering activities to control costs.

Overseeing project delivery and handover, ensuring quality and snagging are completed.

Providing regular updates to management on project milestones and completion status.
