A leading company in the steelmaking industry is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the construction work package during the order execution phase. The role involves coordinating construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing the site effectively. Candidates should possess leadership skills, at least 3-5 years of experience in site management, and excellent English communication skills.

Competenze

Au moins 3/5 ans d'expérience en gestion de site dans la construction de plantes de traitement de l'acier.
Connaissance de la gestion des activités de montage et de mise en service.
Excellente maîtrise de l'anglais à l'oral et à l'écrit.

Mansioni

Coordonner et contrôler toutes les activités de construction pour assurer l'exécution du projet dans les délais et le budget.
Point de contact central pour la phase de construction, responsable de la conformité aux exigences légales et aux plans HSE.
Suivre la conformité des entrepreneurs avec le plan HSE.

The position’s responsibility is for the construction work package during the order execution phase with an active role in the erection estimation and bidding phase.

Primary responsibilities:

Initiates, coordinates, and controls all construction activities within the project to ensure in-time, in budget, and in-quality project execution for his function;
Communicates cross functional and provides all relevant information to the project core team, especially to the Project Manager and Project Supply Chain Manager, the Engineering Manager, and the Project Scheduler;
Specialist contact with responsibility for processing the construction work package during order execution for the site team;
Central project-related point of contact for the construction phase;
Contact person for optimizing and coordinating all matters relating to construction work package in consultation with the General Commissioning Manager;
Monitors compliance of contractors with the HSE plan, and escalates to the Project Manager in the event of significant non-conformity; sets out the arrangements for HSE and ensures that all requisite measures are implemented for site operation;
Is responsible for the full and proper preparation of the construction work package;
Responsibility for compliance with all legal and customer requirements in the planning and execution phase of a project with focus on safe construction site operation, considering also all relevant environmental aspects.

Job requirements:

Leadership to coordinate, manage and controls all construction activities.
At least 3/5 years of professional experience in Site Management’s activity in the construction of steel processing plants;
Knowledge in Site erection and commissioning activities management preferred for steel plants
Very good written and spoken English
Ability to work in a team and flexibility
Willingness to travel worldwide
Organizational skills, sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure
Open-mindedness towards new approaches and innovations
Confident handling of MS Office tools
