HVAC Supervisor (Civil) Responsibilities

The HVAC Supervisor (Civil) oversees subcontractor activities within their discipline to ensure that plant construction works are completed according to schedules, project documents, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards, as well as subcontract terms and conditions.

1. Ensure maintenance works for HVAC equipment are completed on schedule.
2. Schedule HVAC system installation.
3. Review supplier’s material and technical documentation delivery schedules for alignment with construction schedules and contractual commitments.
4. Approve and control method statements submitted by subcontractors, ensuring correct application on-site.
5. Implement all HSE procedures and standards for assigned areas or activities.
6. Participate in site HSE activities as per the site HSE plan and procedures.
7. Monitor schedule adherence and initiate actions to recover delays.
8. Verify that subcontractor’s equipment and manpower are adequate and that work conforms to design, safety, and quality standards.
9. Perform inspections and sign off on necessary certificates as per site inspection plans.
10. Maintain a non-conformity register for each subcontractor and coordinate resolution efforts.
11. Identify design errors and rectify or escalate for necessary changes.
12. Review and approve subcontractor work progress sheets.
13. Assist contract management with pricing, amendments, and claims analysis.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

• Experience in the construction or modernization of large petrochemical plants or EPC projects.
• Strong management experience with subcontractors and in construction/commissioning within EPC projects, especially large or XL plants.
• At least 5 years of experience in the specific discipline.
• Experience in similar roles in the last three projects of comparable size.
• Experience working on the contractor side.
