Activity & Main Responsibilities

The HSE Manager is appointed for major projects and in case of Consortium or ATI. He reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for:

1. Supporting and monitoring the implementation of the Tecnimont HSE Policy and HSE Management System at site.
2. Performing Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participating in Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
3. Verifying the adequacy and application of the Site HSE Plan and related procedures, and preparing revisions as needed.
4. Updating HSE documentation throughout all construction phases.
5. Ensuring subcontractors perform activities in accordance with all applicable HSE procedures, regulations, and standards, and promoting compliance actions.
6. Organizing, planning, and participating in periodic HSE walks, inspections, and audits; preparing reports and action plans; verifying follow-up and corrective actions.
7. Organizing and coordinating HSE training activities on site.
8. Participating in all relevant site HSE meetings.
9. Cooperating with the client regarding work permits.
10. Investigating work accidents to identify corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
11. Maintaining accident records and identifying areas for preventive focus.
12. Promoting personnel indoctrination and training.
13. Leading and coordinating the Site HSE Committee activities.
14. Leading and coordinating the site emergency response and fire prevention teams, organizing training and drills.
15. Preparing HSE sections of monthly progress reports and other periodic reports.
16. Updating Site HSE Statistics, verifying performance against project and corporate HSE objectives, targets, and indicators; proposing recovery plans for mismatches.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Required skills include:

• An undergraduate degree in Construction Management or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in Construction, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industry involving heavy construction sites with mechanical, electrical, and piping installation.
• Knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and lockout/tagout requirements.
