Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Construction Engineer to join the Transportation System Construction Technical Office within Energy Careers. You will prepare scopes of work for pipelines and associated facilities, draft methods of statement, and supervise construction activities on site and offshore projects as required.

You will coordinate with engineering and procurement, support bid activities, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery, and be available for short/medium/long term overseas assignments.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or degree in mechanical or civil engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Construction Engineer.
• English language at B2 level (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Prepare scopes of work for pipelines construction and RFQs for bid activities and projects.
• Draft construction operating procedures (methods of statement) for pipelines and plant construction phases.
• Provide pipeline and plant construction supervision and monitoring of work in the field (subcontracted and direct hire).
• Support the project organization during bidding and execution, coordinating interfaces with engineering and procurement and ensuring material/equipment availability.
• Help set construction strategy and execution plans, coordinating with scheduling and procurement teams.
• Ensure full compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.

As Construction Engineer, you will join our Department Transportation System Construction Technical Office (CSO), in the business line Energy Careers.

How can you support us?

• Ensure preparation of Scopes of Work for Pipelines construction and multidisciplinary for associated facilities, Request for Quotation (RFQ) for both Bid activities and acquired operational projects, including Technical Bid evaluation of construction Bidders
• Draft construction operating procedures (Method of statement) for Pipelines and multidisciplinary plant construction phases.
• Provide Pipeline and associated Plant construction supervision and monitoring of work performed in the field, both subcontracted and direct hire.
• Support the organization during the bidding and execution of construction activities, ensuring management of interfaces with engineering and procurement departments, overseeing the availability of construction materials and equipment.
• Support the project organization in setting the construction strategy and construction execution plan. Coordinate with the project team the setting of the schedule and coordinate with the procurement team the proper setting of the material procurement flow.
• Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, company and project requirements through the implementation of company tools and methodologies.

What are we looking for?

Education: Technical Diploma / bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering

BACKGROUND: 2-5 years as a Construction Engineer

LANGUAGES: English B2 (written and spoken)

IT KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with the Microsoft Office package and Databases

What else should you know? Availability for short/medium/long term foreign missions and overseas contracts at construction sites is mandatory
