Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

Qualifications include MA program completion (externship/internship), EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer credentials, and current CPR. Day-one benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED requirement.
• Successful completion of a MA program and MA externship/internship.
• EMT or Paramedic program, or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• MA credentialing (MA-Credentialed I) options listed, incl. CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
