Are you passionate about driving real change in underserved communities? Our client is seeking a mission-driven Community Outreach Coordinator to help reshape the landscape of public health research in Northwest Alabama. In this field-forward role, you’ll become the bridge between science and the communities that need it most, expanding access to cutting-edge clinical trials through powerful grassroots partnerships. This is a 6-month contract.

Compensation:$30-$34/hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Cultivating relationships with local healthcare providers, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations
• Organizing and hosting weekly community outreach events like health fairs and town halls
• Leading public presentations to raise awareness about clinical research opportunities
• Representing the program at public forums, coalitions, and stakeholder meetings
• Educating residents on the benefits of genetic testing and precision medicine
• Reporting engagement metrics and community feedback to help evolve strategy
• Acting as the trusted community face of a statewide health initiative

What You’ll Need to Be Considered:

• Strong presence and community ties in the Northwest region of Alabama
• Willingness to travel frequently within your region using your vehicle
• Knowledge of rural healthcare landscapes or underserved populations
• Experience building networks with faith-based and civic organizations
• Comfort speaking publicly and facilitating conversations across diverse audiences
