Job summary

RS Group is seeking a Communications Manager for the EMEA region on a maternity cover basis, based in Sesto San Giovanni with hybrid work. You will lead internal and external communications, align with brand messaging and stakeholder expectations across global functions.

You'll manage change communications, events, and engagement activities, partnering with People and regional teams to deliver clear, on-message content that strengthens RS's presence in the region.

The Opportunity

The Communications Manager - EMEA will develop and deliver communications across the EMEA region as part of RS Group Communications team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

The Communications Manager - EMEA will be a well-rounded communications leader focused on engagement, culture, and brand messaging. You will embrace and embed consistent narratives across the different areas of our business while uniting people behind our purpose and connecting them to the role they play in contributing to our success. The role will also support the planning and delivery of key EMEA colleagues, customer and leadership events, ensuring a consistent and engaging experience that strengthens employee engagement, support business objectives and enhances the RS brand across the region.

The role of the Communications Manager - EMEA sits within the Global Communications team and is critical to our day-to-day communications across the EMEA region. You will be an experienced Communications Manager that is passionate, creative, and agile, with the ability to flex and change within our fast-paced organisation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Plan and deliver short- and medium-term internal communications that support global and EMEA business goals.
• Act as a trusted advisor across EMEA, helping teams work together and stay aligned.
• Lead communications for change projects to make things simpler, more efficient, and better connected across the region.
• Create clear and consistent messages to support key business areas like Product & Supplier Management, Go to Market, and Supply Chain.
• Champion and bring together a community of communications leads across EMEA, sharing best practices and driving alignment and collaboration.
• Bring EMEA teams together to build a strong, united community and support business growth.
• Run internal communications campaigns across EMEA, making sure messages are timely, relevant, and fit local cultures.
• Work with global and local teams to keep messages clear, consistent, and aligned whilst understanding their needs and delivering useful and on message communications.
• Use and improve internal channels like the intranet, Viva Engage, newsletters, and digital signage.
• Write and share stories that highlight business goals, celebrate wins, and engage employees.
• Translate and adapt messages so they make sense to different audiences across EMEA.
• Track how well communications are working and suggest ways to improve.
• Lead communications planning and support delivery for strategic EMEA events, exhibitions, leadership forums and colleague engagement activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders, People and regional teams to coordinate event communications, content, logistics support and attendee engagement.
• Develop event communication plans that maximise participation, reinforce key business messages and measure engagement outcomes.
• Ensure a consistent RS Group experience across EMEA events through effective project management, stakeholder coordination and communication support.

Compensation & Benefits (Italy)

For candidates hired under an Italian employment contract, the compensation package includes:

• Pay Range: between €40,000 and €53,000.
• Variable pay: Annual bonus with a target incentive of 7,5% of annual base salary and a maximum payout opportunity of 15%, based on the achievement of business objectives measured against the scorecard shared after joining. The incentive is reviewed and paid on an annual basis.
• Private healthcare insurance: supplementary health insurance incl. family members.
• Welfare scheme: €200/year for online shopping. The amount may be increased through the conversion of all or part of the variable bonus into additional welfare credits, in accordance with company policy.
• Parking slot & free gym in the Milan office.
