Overall, Purpose of this Job :
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, based in Milan, Italy, is seeking a Communications and Public Affairs Specialist to join on a permanent contract. The role reports directly to the Communication & Public Affairs Lead Italy. The successful candidate will implement internal and external communication strategies focused on our Corporate and Disease Area Strongholds, working closely with regional communication teams across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities & Impact :
- Manage external communications, including media engagement and social media platforms.
- Enhance employee engagement and internal communications.
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans that support corporate and therapeutic area objectives, emphasizing innovation and medical progress.
- Build and maintain the company’s reputation and brand identity, ensuring messaging aligns with Johnson & Johnson’s values.
- Create content such as press releases, articles, and social media posts to showcase medical innovations.
- Respond promptly to crises to protect the company’s image.
- Utilize digital platforms and social media to increase visibility and engagement, focusing on new communication tools and campaigns.
- Support organizational alignment through governance activities like townhalls and leadership forums, collaborating with HR, management, and customer excellence teams.
- Engage the workforce internally and externally through activation initiatives.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels.
- Assist in launching new therapies or technologies, ensuring clear communication with patients, physicians, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with market access, government affairs, patient engagement, sales, and R&D teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
Qualifications :
- Degree in communication, public relations, journalism, or marketing; Master's in Communication or Public Affairs preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in internal and external communications.
- Strong expertise in digital communication.
- Fluent in English and Italian, both spoken and written.
- Relevant experience in healthcare, medical, or technology sectors.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, markets, and trends.
- Understanding of healthcare policies and regulations is advantageous.
