Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Rome, Italy, seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead on-site commissioning of HV protection systems and SCADA/RTU setups across Italy, ensuring quality, safety and timely completion in line with contract specs.

You will coordinate with site managers and third parties, prepare mark-ups for as-built docs, support FAT/SAT, and travel up to 80% while using Italian and English to communicate with customers.

Qualificações

• Bachelor or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in P&C site commissioning of substations.
• Knowledge of IEC 104/101 and IEC 61850 protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Work within Service & Commissioning team to troubleshoot at sites and finalize customer acceptance certification.
• Adhere to commissioning schedule up to handover and provide feedback for lessons learned.
• Coordinate with site manager and third-party providers for design changes and as-built documentation.
• Produce progress reports and ensure safety observations are conducted and addressed.
• Perform on-site activities related to HV protection system and SCADA/RTU testing.
• Handle snag lists independently and resolve issues.
• Engage in technical discussions with customers during commissioning.
• Attend FAT and SAT as required.

The opportunity

For our Business Unit Grid Automation based in Santa Palomba - Rome, with site-time across Italy expected , we are looking for a talent who will be responsible for service and commissioning, ensuring completion of all activities efficiently, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How you'll make an impact

• You will be working within our Service & Commissioning team, enjoying trouble-shooting, having a can-do attitude to resolve technical issues at sites and focusing on finalize customer acceptance certification.
• Ensure adherence to the commissioning schedule up to the handover, working independently with limited supervision, giving feedbacks to the organization to apply lessons learned process.
• Implement commissioning design changes and provides mark-ups for as built project documentation and in some specific projects being coordinate with the site manager and third party providers.
• Ensure progress reports are produced in accordance with client and satisfactory sign-off is obtained. Safety Observation Tours will be conducted regularly to report and mitigate potential HSE Hazards.
• Execute activities on site related to service and commissioning of HV protection system and Scada/RTU system preparation and testing.
• Independent in Snag list handling and resolution
• Assist in technical discussion with customers during commissioning activities.
• Attending FAT and SAT as required.

Your background

• Bachelor Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Technical Diploma or equivalent qualifications and experience;
• Experience in P&C site commissioning of substations;
• Experience with test devices (Omicron, Isa);Proven Experience on Hitachi Microscada and RTU560 product;Knowledge of PLC automation commissioning;Knowledge of IEC104/101 and 61850 protocol;Knowledge of Networking and network Device;
• Strong communication and problem solving skills;
• Flexibility to travel to client sites as required (80%)
• Fluency in Italian and English.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

• Starting from:38000 € gross

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
