We're currently looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our M Renewables team in Italy.
Your role will encompass:
- Commissioning planning; liaise with project managers to develop commissioning work plans that clearly specify the scope, resources, and schedule needed for various project commissioning activities.
- Liase with electrical compliance engineers and quality managers to prepare documentation needed for commissioning activities such as Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, and Test report templates.
- Support Project Manager with review of technical requirements stipulated in the EPC contracts.
- Organize, allocate, and supervise the team of commissioning engineers to manage various projects from commissioning phases through energization and until handover of the projects to O&M team.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and commissioning engineers to review design drawings and eliminate errors to reduce installation challenges during installation and consequently during commissioning.
- Identify potential risks that may arise during projects’ commissioning phases and formulate mitigation measures.
- Analyse project commissioning and FAT processes and provide suggestions for gaps to improve and establish a more streamlined process for future projects.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Degree; MSc will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in Solar Power Plant or Battery Storage construction.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, CEI, IEEE, and Italian Grid Code.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Basic proficiency in AUTOCAD.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
