Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is seeking part-time and full-time Commis di Sala to join our team. As a Commis di Sala, you will be responsible for taking orders and delivering food and beverages to our guests, ensuring an excellent overall experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent customer service to promote satisfaction.
- Welcoming and recognizing all guests according to company standards.
- Maintaining direct and frequent contact with guests, especially during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events like banquets and coffee breaks.
- Demonstrating knowledge of regular guests and their preferences.
- Knowing and offering information about the hotel restaurant's products and services.
- Reviewing daily specials and menu changes with the F&B team.
- Managing restaurant reservations.
- Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely orders.
- Setting up and cleaning restaurant tables and meeting rooms as required.
- Adhering to brand standards for setup, quality, and service.
- Handling bill payments and transactions using the point-of-sale system, including cash and card payments.
- Identifying opportunities to increase revenue through upselling.
- Ensuring all F&B outlets are clean, organized, and guest-ready.
- Following all relevant health regulations and customer service guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in similar roles within hotel chains or related sectors is highly valued.
- Professional training in hospitality/F&B.
- Proficiency in the local language and English.
- Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office, POS systems, etc.).
- Customer-oriented attitude.
- Active listening and effective communication skills.
