About Orient Express La Minerva, Rome

Set to open in 2025, La Minerva will be the first Orient Express hotel in Rome, housed in a 17th-century palace rich with Roman history and art, designed to reflect the city’s grandeur with a contemporary touch.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality setup of tables and service areas for guests.
2. Check and refill condiment containers according to HACCP standards.
3. Assist with delivery of small items like soups or beverages as needed.
4. Prepare buffets with precision and care.
5. Provide excellent guest service, including welcoming guests and serving water, beverages, bread, and butter.
6. Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring a high standard of service.
7. Collaborate effectively with the Chef de Rang to ensure food delivery standards are met.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma with good grades.
2. At least 2 years' experience in a high-level restaurant or hotel role.
3. Flexibility and teamwork skills.
4. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, punctuality, and proactivity.
5. Ability to work on various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
6. Proficiency in Italian and English.
7. Grooming and hygiene standards in line with hotel policies.
8. Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
9. Legal right to work in Italy.
