Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino, seeks a dedicated Commis de Rang to join the DaV Restaurant team. The role focuses on delivering luxurious, attentive service and supporting the Chef de Rang in a high-end hospitality setting.

The ideal candidate is passionate about guest experience, fluent in Italian with basic English, and eager to grow within a premier Belmond property. Seasonal contracts with opportunities for ongoing collaboration are offered.

Formación

• Fluent in Italian and basic English.
• Hospitality or tourism degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role or school internships.
• Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally.

Responsabilidades

• Execute Food & Beverage service for DaV Restaurant following company standards.
• Manage mise en place and support Chef de Rang during service.
• Clean and set up floors, tables, linens, glass and silverware for service.
• Monitor guest experience from arrival to departure and anticipate needs.
• Contribute to a flawless service and maintain high guest satisfaction.

We are looking for a Commis de Rang to join our DaV Restaurant team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Fullfil the operations of the Food & Beverage on DaV Restaurant - according to the Company policies, high standards and procedures;
• Take care of the mise en place;
• Support the Chef de Rang with service;
• Clean and set-up floors, tables, chairs, linens, glass and silver for service;
• Monitor all aspects of the customers' experience, from the restaurant layout before they arrive to the experience they receive during the service.
• Act to enhance a flawless service and anticipate Guests’ needs.

Requirements

• Effective communication: communicate clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally);
• Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and emotions of guests and colleagues and adjust his/her style to them. Manage own emotions in challenging situations;
• Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions.
• Try and adopt new ways of doing things;
• Other requirements: Fluent in Italian and basic level of English;
• Tourism or Hospitality degree preferred;
• Previous professional experience in a similar role, also with school internships;
• Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally;

• Start date: September 2026 to End date: December 2026, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido Mare and a career path;
• Salary as by CCNL + increase based on seniorirty and skill level, separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR;
