Splendido Mare, a Belmond Hotel in Portofino, Italy, seeks a Commis de Bar to join the DaV Mare Restaurant team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and ready to deliver authentic luxury experiences with care and confidence.

We offer a seasonal Labour contract under CCNL Turismo - Level 5, with a start in October 2026 and end in January 2027, aiming for ongoing collaboration and growth within Splendido Mare and Belmond. Accommodation, meals, and staff benefits are included.

Qualificações

• Hospitality background preferred.
• Previous bar/restaurant experience, including internships.
• Willingness to commit to a seasonal contract and continuous collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Fulfil bar operations according to company standards and procedures.
• Assist the Bartender with service and mise en place.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Monitor guest experience and anticipate needs during service.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure flawless service.

Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, part of the LVMH Group, is a charming guesthouse in the heart of the Portofino. Its celebrated restaurant, DaV Mare, embodies all the pleasures of piazzetta living through refined cuisine, curated in partnership with the 3-Michelin-star Cerea family. Awash with nautical spirit, our gem on the Italian Riviera celebrates the art of Ligurian living in its purest form.

We are looking for a Commis de Bar to join our DaV Mare Restaurant team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges.

He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community.

Main duties & responsibilities:

• Fulfil the operations of the Bar, according to the Company policies, high standards and procedures;
• Support the Bartender with service;
• Take care of the mise en place:
• Clean and set-up works’ spaces and equipments;
• Monitor all aspects of the customers' experience, from the restaurant layout before they arrive to the experience they receive during the service.
• Act to enhance a flawless service and anticipate Guests’ needs.

• Effective communication: communicate clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally);
• Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and emotions of guests and colleagues and adjust his/her style to them. Manage own emotions in challenging situations;
• Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions.
• Try and adopt new ways of doing things;
• Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player e share information and skills and actively seek and provide feedback;
• Fluent in Italian and basic level of English;
• Tourism or Hospitality degree preferred;
• Previous professional experience in a similar role, also with school internships;
• Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally.
  

• We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 5, Commis de Bar;
• Start date: October 2026 to End date: January 2027, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido Mare and a career path;
• Salary as by CCNL + increase based onseniorirtyand skill level, separatepayslipfor 13°,14° and TFR;
