Un groupe hôtelier de luxe à Rome recherche un Commis de Rang pour rejoindre son équipe Food & Beverage. ABOUT ORIENT EXPRESS LA MINERVA, ROME

Considered the beloved capital of the Orient Express legend, Rome will host the first Orient Express Hotel “La Minerva” in 2025. In partnership with Italian luxury hotel group Arsenale S.p.A, Orient Express has entrusted the interior architecture and artistic direction of the hotel to Hugo Toro. The former Palazzo Fonseca is a sumptuous 17th-century palace with a majestic façade, Roman columns, sculptures by Rinaldo Rinaldi, and the goddess Minerva. By the end of 2024, a new décor inspired by the Roman domus and the riches of the “Eternal City” will be unveiled, blending contemporary elegance with historical grandeur. The hotel aims to offer an exceptional guest experience with unparalleled elegance, world-class amenities, and impeccable service.

Position: Commis de Rang

As a crucial member of the Food & Beverage team, the Commis de Rang is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The role involves assisting the F&B team (F&B Director, Assistant F&B Director, Restaurant Managers, Chef de Rang) to deliver outstanding breakfast, lunch, and dinner experiences in compliance with HACCP standards and hotel excellence standards, ensuring a warm welcome and guest-centric service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality clearing, cleaning, and setting up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware, prepared unobtrusively for guest service.
  2. Check and refill condiment containers according to HACCP and hotel standards and regulations.
  3. Support or deliver small items such as soups or beverages when needed or requested.
  4. Ensure efficient clearing, cleaning, and setting of buffets.
  5. Provide best-in-class service by welcoming guests, offering water, beverages, bread and butter, and responding to their requests following hotel standards.
  6. Be attentive to guest needs and fulfill requests promptly.
  7. Collaborate effectively with the Chef de Rang to ensure food deliveries from the kitchen meet all standards of excellence.

Qualifications

  • Hotel School diploma with high grades.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-level restaurant or hotel in a similar role.
  • Flexibility and willingness to cooperate across restaurant lines as needed.
  • Guest-centric attitude, high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, punctuality, and proactivity.
  • Strong team working skills, flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English.
  • Maintaining top-level grooming and adherence to HACCP, hygiene standards, procedures, and codes of conduct.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Legal right to work in Italy.
