HYATT CENTRIC MURANO VENICE, a lifestyle hotel in the heart of the Venetian lagoon, is the starting point for guests eager to discover Venice and its islands, away from the more touristy areas. Murano, the island of glass, offers an authentic Venetian experience and a chance to rediscover Venice through its inhabitants. We are seeking a Commis de Rang to join our team!

Summary

Are you motivated, detail-oriented, guest-focused, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team? Do you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy introducing guests to Venetian customs and culture? If so, we want to hear from you!

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Ensuring brand standards are met.
  • Collaborating with other outlet staff to support the hotel's overall success and guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting the Team Leader in setting up the assigned section efficiently to enhance service speed and productivity.
  • Working supportively with other departments.
  • Maintaining stock levels of equipment and supplies.
  • Seating guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages according to procedures.
  • Presenting menus, answering guest inquiries, and suggesting food and drink options.
  • Clearing and resetting tables after each course.
  • Performing cashier duties as needed, adhering to financial policies.
  • Having thorough knowledge of menu items and upselling where appropriate.

Customer Service Focus :

  • Delivering the brand promise through exceptional guest service.
  • Providing excellent service to internal departments.
  • Handling guest and internal complaints courteously and efficiently.
  • Maintaining positive interactions with guests and colleagues.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Attending training sessions and meetings.
  • Building professional relationships with industry partners.
  • Adhering to hotel policies, including safety, hygiene, and security policies.
  • Maintaining personal grooming standards.
  • Adapting to industry and hotel changes.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
