The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Commis de Bar.

The Commis de Bar will report to the Bar Manager and join a team of passionate professionals in bartending.

This is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour work week, 5 days, 2 days off), from June to December 2025.

The impact you’ll make

You are a beverage enthusiast, creating an energetic, welcoming atmosphere behind the bar. You offer guests a diverse, seasonal beverage menu, engaging in warm conversations and providing helpful suggestions, making their experience memorable.

What you’ll do

• Welcome guests
• Support service at tables and the bar
• Follow SOPs and brand guidelines
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs
• Maintain knowledge of the bar menu
• Prepare garnishes and appetizers
• Stock supplies and maintain cleanliness

What we’re looking for

• Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Understanding of luxury hospitality F&B operations
• Experience in similar roles is a plus
• Warm, people-oriented personality
• Team-player attitude
• Reliability, motivation, positivity, and outgoing nature
• Passion for luxury bartending

This role requires physical ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance in uniform. Safety training and certification are prerequisites.
