We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative or Account Manager for a 3-day onsite hybrid role in Verona, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the commercial insurance account manager team.
Responsibilities:
Support the Commercial Lines Account Management team across a variety of job functions.
Knowledge of how to quote/remarket renewals, handle renewal reviews with customers, assist with some new business, endorse policies and have communication to build on client relationships with the customers.
Assist in reviewing policies and working with carriers, as well as billing and invoicing.
Analyze client insurance programs and recommend appropriate coverage enhancements or adjustments.
Identify gaps in coverage including account rounding, cross selling and upselling opportunities.
Identify pricing discrepancies.
Help prepare proposals.
Help process policy endorsements, certificates of insurance, and other administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and development of new insurance products to identify potential business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current property and casualty license.
1-2+ Years of experience in commercial underwriting or related role.
Background in assistant underwriting or assistant account management with a strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with colleagues.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
