The Commercial Director, O&M EMEA is responsible for developing a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize total revenue, profit performance, and market share penetration of the hotel in EMEA.

This role involves driving the planning and execution of the commercial strategy through collaboration with Revenue Management, Sales, Catering and Events, Marketing, eCommerce, and Public Relations teams, as well as working effectively with area support teams. F&B commercial activities will be shared responsibilities with the F&B Manager, Director of Operations, GM, and the Commercial Director.

The Commercial Director acts as a role model within the commercial community in the owned and managed portfolio in EMEA, developing teams and individuals, and acting as a key business partner to the Hotel General Manager. They support hotels in maximizing value from Hilton Worldwide Sales teams and are ambassadors for the company with owners and stakeholders.

The role ensures that commercial management strategies are set for all revenue streams and that systems are used to their full potential to maximize revenue from all available spaces, including Rooms, Meeting Space, outlets, and other revenue departments. The goal is to drive overall FMS results through disciplined execution of commercial activities.

The Commercial Director will lead, coach, develop, recruit, and retain talent. They will manage performance, evaluate team members against KPIs, and work effectively within a 4D structure on the property. Specific tasks include:

  1. Driving the top-line budget and forecast by implementing a commercial strategy and business plan, delivering minimum budgeted revenues across all streams, including Rooms, GC&E, F&B, Leisure, and Spa, with cost controls and marketing opportunities.
  2. Collaborating with the GM, Finance, and Operations to maximize profits in line with TGOP and EBITDA targets.
  3. Ensuring Business Review Guidelines, pricing, and rate strategies are in place to maximize sales and market share.
  4. Supporting marketing, sales, and PR activities at the hotel level and liaising with regional support and brand teams.
  5. Working with Revenue Managers and RMCC to establish optimal demand mixes, review forecasts, and develop strategies for different periods.
  6. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, owners, hotel teams, and support functions to ensure commercial benefits.
  7. Presenting strategies to regional teams and stakeholders.
  8. Maintaining brand standards and utilizing communication tools effectively.
  9. Monitoring market trends and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  10. Participating in leadership activities within the hotel and region.
