The Red Hat Sales team is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join us in Rome, Italy. In this role, you will manage relationships with our commercial corporate accounts, assisting customers in their business and IT transformations through our services and solutions, engaging with our partner ecosystem. Your responsibilities include building new commercial relationships, expanding existing accounts, and understanding customer processes, needs, and challenges to promote the value of Red Hat's solutions.

What you will do :

  • Implement Red Hat's sales strategy and manage performance and customer success within assigned accounts, focusing on retaining and growing bookings through partners.
  • Utilize knowledge of use cases and strategic offerings to acquire new business and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and renewals across Red Hat's portfolio, deepening account penetration.
  • Collaborate with partner sales executives to foster customer engagement, aligning Red Hat's use cases with customer needs, and developing solutions that deliver business value.
  • Provide account expertise and continuity, guiding sales performance and positioning Red Hat as a key partner in modernization and digital transformation journeys.
  • Leverage AI use case knowledge to accelerate enterprise AI adoption, including predictive and generative AI models across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Work with your team to achieve collective success within your territory.
  • Partner with the Customer Success team and other specialists to understand how customers derive value from Red Hat's solutions, supporting expansion and retention efforts, and ensuring customer success criteria are met.
  • Coordinate with inside sales and specialists to manage end-to-end sales processes and deliver customer value.

  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives and partners to drive business success.
  • Strategic thinking and value engineering skills to position solutions effectively, build business cases around ROI and TCO.
  • Understanding of the ecosystem landscape and how to collaborate with partners for mutual value creation.
  • Solid knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and Red Hat's differentiators and value proposition.
  • Strong presentation skills for engaging various audiences.
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships and internal advocates across customer organizations, including IT and business teams.
