RINA is currently recruiting for a Combustion Station Junior Test Engineer to join its office in Dalmine within the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Division.

Mission

RINA seeks a dedicated and motivated technical resource to join the Combustion Studies Station in Dalmine, Italy. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team dedicated to advancing combustion technology. You will play a key role under the guidance of the Operating Unit responsible, contributing to research and innovation in the field.

Key Accountabilities

The primary responsibilities include designing and setting up experimental test rigs for burner qualification and conducting testing campaigns. During these trials, you will monitor processes and collect data to validate findings.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Designing, constructing, and maintaining experimental setups to evaluate burner performance.
  • Preparing test rigs and executing experimental campaigns with precision.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members and communicating clearly to enhance teamwork.
  • Managing and analyzing test data.
  • Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment to ensure safety during testing.

Your proactive attitude and problem-solving skills are crucial for the success of our combustion research.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Energy Engineering, or a High School Diploma / GED in Mechanical Studies.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A relevant degree or diploma with mechanical studies.
  • Experience in laboratory testing of burners or similar applications is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of gas line installation and use for flammable gases is a plus.
  • Certification for forklift and crane operation for safe handling of materials.
  • Proficiency in LabView and/or Eurotherm PLC.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite for data management and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD for designing experimental setups.
