We are looking for an innovative, target-driven, and collaborative Sales Professional in Southern Europe (Italy / Spain) for our newest Containerboard segment at Holmen Board and Paper. You have a proven track record in consultative selling and a strong network within the containerboard industry in Italy and Spain and are motivated to drive success for our brand new products!

Holmen Board and Paper, a leading Swedish company, produces innovative products from fresh fibre, perfect for packaging, books, magazines, and retail. Our lightweight paper and sustainably managed fresh fibre are essential for tomorrow's recycled paper.

As our Sales Manager, you will drive the creation of a market niche for Holmen’s brand new low-basis-weight containerboard products (lightweight kraftliner) in Italy and Spain. You will develop and manage commercial operations for the Southern European market, focusing on Italy and Spain, and identify market opportunities to drive growth. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative European sales team in a newly formed matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development : Identify and seize business development opportunities to position our company, brand, and new lightweight kraftliner products in the Italian and Spanish markets.
  • Business Acquisition : Prospect new accounts and build relationships from scratch to acquire new business opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management : Create, maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and expand our customer base within the region.
  • Industry Expertise : Share your knowledge and network within the containerboard business in Italy / Spain.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration : Ensure seamless cooperation with other departments within the company.
  • Travel : Extensive travel to customers in the Southern European region and to our head office in Sweden.

To Succeed in This Role

You are a target-driven team player who works persistently to reach your goals and have a proven track record in consultative selling and a strong network within the containerboard industry in Italy and Spain.

Your Profile

  • Proven Sales Experience : Demonstrated success in complex B2B sales and building close customer relationships, with experience in consultative sales of new solutions / concepts.
  • Relationship Builder : Excellent collaborative skills and responsive communication.
  • Self-Starter : Strong self-leadership skills and proactive, forward-thinking approach.
  • Organized and Persistent : Target-driven and methodical in implementing and driving projects to successful results.
  • Educational Background : Academic degree in a relevant field, preferably a Bachelor's or Master's in business / economics or science, or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in the containerboard (liner / fluting), kraftliner, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, and / or SC-fluting business in Italy and Spain. Possibly with a background in sales for a converter.
  • Language Skills : Fluent in Italian and Spanish.
  • Driving License : Required.
