Job summary

FIMIGroup is seeking a CNC Milling Machine Operator for its production facility in Valmadrera, Italy. You will operate CNC milling machines to machine large steel fabrications and components up to 10 metres, reading drawings and ensuring tight tolerances.

Join a team driven by precision and quality, with shift work 6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, a company canteen, and €250 yearly welfare benefits. Permanent employment is preferred, with a potential 6-month fixed-term contract and conversion options.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as a CNC Milling Machine Operator.
• Experience machining fabricated steel structures.
• Good knowledge of mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of dimensional and geometric tolerances.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Experience using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Experience handling large components (3–10 metres).
• Knowledge of SELCA 3045 and HEIDENHAIN 530 CNC controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Perform machining operations while complying with dimensional and geometric tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments.
• Handle components using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Machine large steel fabrications and components 3–10 metres in length.
• Collaborate with the Machine Tools Department Manager and CNC programmers to optimize machining operations.
