WeHunt in Milano seeks an experienced Cloud/Platform Architect to define and evolve the SaaS platform architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and observability across cloud environments.

You will partner with the CTO, drive IaC via Terraform/CDK/Pulumi, manage Kubernetes, IAM, networking, and implement SLIs/SLOs with disaster recovery planning and robust incident response. English and Italian proficiency required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native approaches.
• Extensive experience with at least one cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows Server.
• Scripting proficiency.
• DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication in English and Italian.
• Experience as a Developer.
• Knowledge of the Java ecosystem.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS including Kubernetes, networking, IAM, and secrets.

About the Role

In partnership with the CTO, the Cloud / Platform Architect leads the definition and evolution of the SaaS platform architecture, designing scalable, resilient, secure, and observable cloud infrastructure. The role ensures technological consistency and high engineering standards through the adoption of Platform Engineering principles. This person also works closely with the company’s security functions to ensure the security and compliance of the SaaS platform and its underlying infrastructure, while establishing robust observability practices to support reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including cloud-native components such as Kubernetes, networking, IAM, and secrets management.
• Drive infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or Pulumi, as well as GitOps and CI/CD practices.
• Define, implement, and evolve observability capabilities across the platform, including centralized logging, metrics, distributed tracing, dashboards, alerting, and service health monitoring.
• Establish and maintain reliability frameworks based on SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, supporting proactive performance management and operational visibility.
• Build observability standards and best practices to improve troubleshooting, incident detection, root cause analysis, and platform performance optimization.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed observability into applications and infrastructure by design, ensuring appropriate instrumentation and actionable telemetry.
• Ensure technical security and compliance through infrastructure hardening, access control, and patch management in coordination with Security teams.
• Define and maintain operational resilience practices, including backup and restore strategies, disaster recovery plans, recovery testing, and operational runbooks.
• Provide advanced L3 support for infrastructure incidents and lead continuous improvement initiatives through post-mortems, preventive actions, and operational reviews.
• Contribute to the definition of platform standards, architecture principles, and best practices across engineering teams.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Cloud native approach
• Extensive experience with at least one of the main cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS) including the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions.
• Proficiency with both Linux/Unix and Windows Server operating systems.
• Proficiency in scripting
• DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, enhancing continuous integration and delivery across cloud solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in English and Italian.
• Experience with Office 365/EntraID account management
• Previous Experience as Developer
• Knowledge of the Java Ecosystem
