Atlas Tech, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated team player for this remote position to join our group of Information Technology professionals. We are seeking a motivated fully remote Cloud Network Engineer to support external customers with setting up and troubleshooting cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience interfacing with end customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a resource for the Cloud Network Engineer Team for the deployment of Cloud initiatives
2. Support, implement, and maintain security components in a hybrid cloud network, including firewalls, routers, VPN devices, load balancers, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
3. Configure and maintain cloud-native security components such as network security groups, security lists, and network Access Control Lists (ACL)
4. Use scripting and automation technologies like Python, PowerShell, and F5 iRules to streamline deployment and operations
5. Troubleshoot and analyze server performance, workload distribution, and component sizing in cloud environments
6. Assist with server monitoring tools to maintain visibility on capacity, security, and performance metrics
7. Extend On-Premise Network to Cloud over direct connect and private gateways
8. Design, document, install, support, and configure network devices
9. Configure and support TLS decryption and inspection devices in physical and virtual environments
10. Participate in business planning to recommend cost-effective, scalable, and high-performing network solutions
11. Follow all change management policies and document support activities
12. Maintain documentation for projects and support issues
13. Provide status reports and handle multiple projects and deadlines

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
• 6+ years’ experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, OCI)
• 6+ years’ experience with SSL/TLS implementation
• Support and maintenance experience with F5 BIG-IP devices
• Intermediate networking and systems administration knowledge
• Experience with network traffic analysis tools like TCPDump and Wireshark
• Knowledge of VPNs, Firewalls, IPS, and related technologies
• Experience discussing and planning application architecture
• Experience with Office 365 in enterprise environments
• Understanding of SaaS, IaaS, and cloud connectivity
• Knowledge of cloud service limits and differences between commercial and government clouds
• Familiarity with Azure PowerShell, OCI CLI, AWS CLI
• Knowledge of container security in AWS and Azure
• Experience with Cisco CSRv1000 and Palo Alto virtual firewalls
• Proven systems engineering skills including network design and support
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
