Work Location : Dependent on the future job opportunity. Includes the "DC Area" (Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia), Atlanta, Georgia, and Tampa, Florida.

Job Description : As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and security of enterprise applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cloud solutions aligned with business goals, leveraging your expertise in AWS technologies, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties :

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise AWS cloud infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Work with development teams to create cloud-native solutions using AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• Monitor and optimize AWS resource performance, focusing on cost efficiency and resource utilization.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, including IAM, VPC, and data encryption.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and ensure system performance.
• Stay updated on AWS services and best practices; recommend their adoption.
• Collaborate on cloud governance, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Participate in designing hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Certifications : AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent required.

Experience :

At least 4 years in AWS cloud design, implementation, and management.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, VPC, Security Groups.

Experience with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.

Strong networking knowledge : TCP / IP, DNS, load balancing.

Experience with monitoring / logging tools like CloudWatch, Elastic Stack, Prometheus.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience in Agile environments preferred.
