Schindler is looking for a Lead Cloud DevOps Architect to innovate and optimize our cloud architecture, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality software delivery on a global scale.

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and implementing end-to-end DevOps strategies for our Azure-based platform and digital services. Your key responsibilities will include:

• DevOps Lifecycle Management: Lead the DevOps strategy from planning to execution, creating roadmaps, and defining effective processes;
• CI/CD Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement, driving the implementation of CI/CD practices;
• Cloud Optimization: Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of cloud-based applications, with a focus on cost optimization;
• Global Collaboration: Work closely with both local and remote teams, conducting code reviews, and designing new features;
• Security & Compliance: Implement security measures across the DevOps lifecycle, adhering to industry standards;
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members, promoting best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

What We’re Looking For:

Schindler is seeking professionals with strong cloud expertise, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of leading technical teams in a global environment.

Required Expertise:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering;
• Experience: Proven track record of leading software engineering teams and driving technical innovation;
• Cloud Mastery: Advanced experience with the Azure platform, including IoT applications and Azure services;
• DevOps Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams, implement CI/CD pipelines, and apply state-of-the-art software engineering practices;
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Azure DevOps;
• Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Python or Bash for automation;
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in infrastructure and performance-related issues;
• Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development (Scrum/Kanban);
• International Collaboration: Experience in distributed work environments with shifting priorities;
• Skills: Strong technical leadership, a proactive mindset, and an openness to new technologies.
