The new team player

As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for improving our cloud data infrastructure by designing, building, and maintaining a scalable and reliable architecture capable of supporting both the consumer and research ecosystems. You’ll work closely with a team of Cloud, Data, and Software Engineers. Our stack features some of the most exciting technologies out there, including Kubernetes, EKS, Terraform, Golang, and various AWS services.

Your contribution to the mission

In addition, working with other software engineers, you will:

  • Build and maintain a scalable data analysis pipeline
  • Provide data engineers with tools for elaborating large datasets
  • Drive the design, implementation, and adoption of our new data ingestion cloud infrastructure

This role goes beyond just coding. You'll have the opportunity to discuss and influence the architecture and evolution of our platform.

The ideal candidate for this role
  • Has at least 2 years of experience as a Cloud/DevOps/Infrastructure engineer, preferably in AWS and/or GCP
  • Is familiar with logging and monitoring technologies
  • Has experience with large-scale environments
  • Knows Continuous Integration pipelines (CodeBuild, CircleCI, Travis, Jenkins)
  • Has experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Spark, Kafka, HDFS, YARN)
