Your role as a Cloud Data Architect in NTT Data Gov & Tech will involve supporting customers in Big Data projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives. You will deliver data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Cloud Data Architect knows the challenges of a cloud-native environment, is able to think outside the box, finding innovative yet simple solutions, and sharing those solutions with the team.

We seek an engineer who can bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear understanding of both fields.

If you are a Data Scientist seeking more experience in data preparation, or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, you can join NTT Data Gov & Tech Business Intelligence Service Line as a Cloud Data Architect, in an environment blending Japanese and European cultural elements.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud-native environment with at least one of the major public clouds (GCP / AWS / Azure); 2 years experience on Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of Big Data Architectures, both cloud and on-premise.
• Azure infrastructure and networking experience.
• Experience building and delivering proofs-of-concept addressing specific business needs using appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud.
• Monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
• Proven experience with Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
• SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, or equivalent in AWS, Oracle, or GCP.
• Additional desired skills include other Big Data certifications (Cloudera, Databricks), experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT solutions (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica), and Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau).
