The role involves delivering data solutions in a cloud-native environment, bridging Data Science and Engineering fields. Candidates should have extensive experience with at least one major cloud provider, strong skills in Azure, and familiarity with Big Data architectures. Remote work options may be available.

Your role as a Cloud Data Architect in NTT Data Gov & Tech involves supporting customers in Big Data projects by collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives.

You will be responsible for delivering data acquisition, transformations, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Cloud Data Architect understands the challenges of a cloud-native environment, can think innovatively to solve everyday issues, and shares solutions with the team.

We seek an engineer who can bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear understanding of both fields.

If you are a Data Scientist seeking experience in data preparation or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, you can join NTT Data Gov & Tech Business Intelligence Service Line, in an environment blending Japanese and European cultural elements.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud-native environment with at least one of the three major public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure); 2 years experience on Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of Big Data Architectures, both cloud and on-premise.
• Azure infrastructure and networking experience.
• Experience building and delivering proofs-of-concept to address specific business needs using appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments.
• Monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source tools like Grafana, Prometheus.
• Proven experience in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with Agile Methodology and Kanban.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Apache Spark, Databricks, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools.
• Cloud Certification: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent in other cloud providers (AWS, Oracle, GCP).

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Additional Big Data certifications (Cloudera, Databricks, etc.) are welcome.
• Experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT solutions (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter).
• Experience with Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau).
