Your role as a Cloud Data Architect in NTT Data Gov & Tech will involve supporting customers in Big Data projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives. You will be responsible for data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Cloud Data Architect should understand the challenges of a cloud-native environment, be innovative in finding simple solutions, and share knowledge with the team. The role acts as a bridge between Data Science and Data Engineering, requiring a clear understanding of both fields.

If you are a Data Scientist seeking experience in data preparation or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, this position offers a unique environment blending Japanese and European cultures within NTT Data Gov & Tech Business Intelligence Service Line.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud-native environment with at least one of the major public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure); 2 years experience on Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of Big Data Architectures, both cloud and on-premise.
• Azure infrastructure and networking experience.
• Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept addressing specific business needs using appropriate techniques and technologies.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud.
• Monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source tools like Grafana or Prometheus.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and Kanban.
• Experience with tools like Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure ETL / ELT tools.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, or equivalent in other cloud providers.

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Additional Big Data certifications (e.g., Cloudera, Databricks).
• Experience with non-Azure ETL / ELT solutions (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter).
• Experience with Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau).
