Your role as a Cloud Data Architect in NTT Data Gov & Tech involves supporting customers in Big Data projects by collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives.

You will be responsible for delivering data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Cloud Data Architect should understand the challenges of a cloud-native environment, think innovatively to find simple solutions, and share these solutions with the team.

We seek an engineer who can bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear understanding of both fields.

If you are a Data Scientist seeking more experience in data preparation or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, you can join as a Cloud Data Architect in our Business Intelligence Service Line, working in an environment blending Japanese and European cultures.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud-native environment with at least one of the major public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure); 2 years experience on Azure preferred
• Knowledge of Big Data Architectures, both cloud and on-premise
• Azure infrastructure and networking experience
• Experience building and delivering proofs-of-concept to address specific business needs using appropriate techniques and technologies
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud
• Monitoring experience in distributed environments using Azure tools or open-source tools like Grafana and Prometheus
• Proven experience with Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and Kanban
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Apache Spark, Databricks, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools
• Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, or equivalent in other cloud providers

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Additional Big Data certifications (Cloudera, Databricks, etc.)
• Experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT solutions (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica)
• Experience with Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau)
