San Marco Veterinary Clinic and Laboratory is looking for a veterinary surgeon with experience in Anesthesia and Analgesia. The Anesthesia team currently includes a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA), 7 anaesthesiologists, an ECVAA resident, and an anaesthesia intern. We run more than 4,000 anaesthetics and sedations for elective and emergency procedures, including diagnostics, endoscopy, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, and neuro-surgery.
San Marco Veterinary Clinic is a European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia approved conforming training center, and also a training centre for the following Colleges : ECVIM-CA, ECVCP, ECVP, ECVD, ECVS. The staff includes ECVAA, ECVIM-CA, ECVN, ECVCP, ECVP, ECVS, ECVD, ECAR, ECAWB Diplomates.
The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including 10 mechanical ventilators with full monitoring, dedicated ultrasound machines, neurostimulator, and neuromuscular block monitoring. The clinic also features 16 visiting rooms, a 350 square meters hospitalization area with an intensive care unit dedicated exclusively to managing the most critical patients, equipped with intensive care ventilators. Within the structure, there is also a 3T magnetic resonance, a dual-source 384-slice CT, a 16-slice CT, digital radiological, fluoroscope and angiography instruments, 10 ultrasounds, and two endoscopes.
Continuous education is very important for the San Marco team; therefore, weekly journal club meetings are scheduled. Candidates must be highly motivated to work in a team, continue their educational and professional growth, and collaborate with other specialists. An evidence-based multidisciplinary approach is strongly encouraged, supporting a continuous education process.
