Benefits Information:

The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for clinical track faculty positions focused on teaching, curricular development, and integration of foundational sciences (anatomy, physiology, chemistry, microbiology), with expertise in chemistry. This is a 9-month non-tenure track position at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher, based on education, scholarship, and teaching experience.

Within the context of Loyola University Chicago and MNSON missions, the faculty member will:

  • Teach undergraduate foundational science courses as appropriate to expertise and program needs
  • Employ diverse teaching strategies in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings
  • Collaborate on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation
  • Develop and disseminate scholarship to advance nursing practice and education
  • Engage in service activities aligned with the mission and strategic initiatives of MNSON, the University, and the nursing profession
  • Contribute to goals for inclusive excellence and anti-racism

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:

  • Potential to establish and maintain a scholarship program, consistent with rank expectations
  • Teaching experience in chemistry, including laboratories, through prior appointments or graduate study
  • Doctoral degree in a related field; professional degrees also considered
