At dentsu we are looking for a Client Manager, in Rome.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the Client’s marketing needs are met effectively and strategically.
As a Client Manager, the primary responsibility is to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact and trusted advisor. The role requires leveraging business insights to identify growth opportunities, propose strategic marketing solutions, and ensure the seamless execution of day-to-day activities.
Collaboration with internal teams—particularly activation practice leaders and cross-functional departments—is essential to deliver integrated initiatives that drive measurable results and support the Client’s overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Management: Deliver the full service proposition to clients, ensuring end-to-end management of their business and marketing needs.
- Relationship Management: Own and nurture strong, long-term client relationships in alignment with the defined relationship strategy.
- Client Development: Proactively identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to support client growth and business expansion.
- Commercial & Service Ownership: Guarantee seamless service delivery while maintaining the profitability and efficiency of the client account.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support the team, aligning internal efforts with the client’s business culture and strategic objectives.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Marketing, Communication, Economics, or related fields
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in similar roles within the marketing/communication sector, preferably in agencies or multinational environments.
- People Management: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams toward achieving shared business goals.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategies and foster effective client dialogue.
- Project Management: Experience in managing complex marketing projects from planning through execution.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to apply strategic marketing approaches, ideally within the Dentsu framework or similar environments.
- Negotiation & Influence: Skilled in navigating discussions and securing mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Market Insight: Competence in analyzing market trends and consumer insights to inform and refine marketing strategies.
- Budget Management: Strong financial acumen with experience in budget oversight and collaboration with activation teams.
- Buying Strategy: Understanding of media buying processes and ability to optimize investment decisions in partnership with activation teams.
- Cross-Media Coordination: Experience in managing integrated campaigns across multiple media channels.
- Audit Management: Familiarity with audit processes and ability to manage relationships with auditors across various media sectors.
