A leading Accounting and Audit firm in Nicosia is seeking a Client Accountant to join their team. The role involves various accounting functions including payroll management and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should be a partly qualified accountant with fluency in Greek and English, eager to learn and contribute effectively within a team.

A well-standing Accounting and Audit firm in Nicosia is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Client Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will perform various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be a fully or part-qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role and fluency in both Greek and English. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining accounting records for clients using OCR technology.
• Handling payroll preparation, social security contributions, and payroll taxes.
• Preparing and filing VAT returns.
• Liaising with auditors.
• Producing periodic management reports, including cash flow, balance sheet, and profit and loss projections and budgets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Candidates should have a good university degree, not necessarily in a relevant field.
• A minimum of one year's experience is required. A willingness to learn is essential.
• Be a partly or newly qualified accountant (ACCA).
• Familiarity with software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Sage50, Caseware, AutoEntry, and Payroll Pro is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
• Ability to work as part of a team, be self-motivated, proactive, and take responsibility early on.
