Clean Utilities Specialist will be part of Clean Utilities organization within Engineering & Maintenance function.

The Clean Utilities Specialist is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and routine maintenance of clean utilities systems within the manufacturing facility. These systems include Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), Clean Steam, Pharmaceutical Compressed Air, and process gases. The specialist ensures systems operate in compliance with GMP standards, supporting continuous and reliable manufacturing operations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor clean utility systems, ensuring continuous and compliant performance.
  • Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance tasks, and first-level troubleshooting.
  • Timely execution and completeness of preventive/corrective work orders for critical water systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance work performed on equipment is aligned with HSE requirements (ie. Permits, LOTO, PTW).
  • Supports continuous improvement for maintenance operations.
  • Supports investigations and development of CAPAs for unplanned utility disruptions or EM excursions.
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, and system documentation in accordance with GMP and internal procedures.
About you
  • Experience: Experience operating GMP utility systems in pharmaceutical or other high-purity production settings (e.g. semiconductor, food/beverage).
  • Soft and technical skills: Training, certification (e.g. license for operating pressurized equipment), and experience in maintenance; In-depth equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills; Working knowledge of purchasing systems and CMMS; Basic understanding of P&IDs and utility system schematics; familiarity with utility system components (pumps, valves, tanks, filters, etc.); Knowledge of SCADA/BMS systems is an advantage; flexibility and willingness to work in shifts if required, Problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; ability to work in a team; ability to communicate; able to work in close collaboration with other key people and supervisors of the Maintenance, Production, Quality, IS departments; available for national and international travel if required; available to provide on-call service; ability to organize work by objectives and deadlines; Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts if required.
  • Education: Technical degree or equivalent.
  • Languages: Fluent with Italian and English.
