Munich Re’s MGA / TPA Claims team manages and monitors our primary insurance claims portfolio. Your role will include managing individual claims, analyzing claims portfolios, performing audits, and collaborating with Underwriting to develop new business and improve portfolio performance. You will also support digital transformation initiatives in claims management and new business development to help achieve MR Claims' Ambition 2025+.

We are seeking a Claims Consultant for our Italian Claims Team, responsible for handling, supervising, and monitoring claims across various lines of business, with a focus on Motor. The role requires knowledge of insurance legal procedures, Italian regulations, and claims processing.

YOUR JOB

• Communicate with outsourcers and other parties involved in claims processing, reviewing information related to claims;
• Analyze contracts and documentation to validate claims based on industry standards and regulations;
• Verify adherence to policies and procedures;
• Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims using technical knowledge and negotiation skills to reach fair resolutions, developing resolution strategies;
• Recommend and maintain appropriate reserves;
• Review insurance claims for errors and suggest changes;
• Ensure compliance with claims guidelines, controls, and reporting, including Group policies;
• Assist underwriters in product development and pricing;
• Monitor and analyze KPIs.

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree (a law degree is a plus) or equivalent work experience;
• At least 2 years of experience as an insurance claims adjuster or examiner;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power BI) and relevant applications;
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills;
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project ownership;
• Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
• Fluent in spoken and written Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
