American International Group in Milano is seeking a Claims Adjuster to grow expertise in investigating and handling complex claims within a global environment. You will deliver technical excellence and strong service differentiation.

Responsibilities include proactive claims investigation, applying Treating Customers Fairly, liaising with brokers, medical experts, clients’ lawyers, and other stakeholders, and supporting managers in day‑to‑day operations.

Competenze

• Experience in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
• Strong policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
• Lateral thinking and the ability to problem-solve and develop new ideas to improve working practices.
• Excellent communication, time-management, administrative, and report-writing skills.

Mansioni

• Develop expertise in investigating and handling claims through a proactive, best‑practice approach in line with AIG’s quality standards.
• Actively promote and demonstrate the principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ in all claims handling activities.
• Identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims regularly, responding in accordance with company guidelines.
• Maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders, brokers, medical experts, clients’ lawyers, victims and their legal representatives.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external customers, acting as a point of referral.
• Support Team Managers and deputize in their absence, including monitoring market and industry practices in claims handling.
• Collaborate with underwriting colleagues to provide insights from claims experience that help improve products.
